2ND TIME, OGBORNE NAMED IN TOP 10 FAMILY LAWYERS IN ARIZONA
AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF FAMILY LAW ATTORNEYS NAMES MICHELLE N. OGBORNE AMONG BEST FAMILY LAW ATTORNEYS IN ARIZONA
(PHOENIX – April, 28 2016) For the second time in two years, the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys (AIOFLA) has named Michelle N. Ogborne, a founding partner of Phoenix-based Ogborne Law, PLC, as one of the “10 Best” Attorneys in Arizona. Michelle N. Ogborne first received the award in 2015 and has recently been notified that she has won it again for 2016.
“Receiving this recognition two years in a row is exciting,” Ogborne said. “The work that the team and I do at Ogborne Law is important to us. We’re passionately committed to helping the families with whom we work find a way through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Awards like this are a testament to how hard we work and while we never seek this kind of recognition, we always appreciate it.”
The AIOFLA is an impartial third-party attorney rating and invitation-only legal organization, recognizing excellence of practitioners in the field. Ogborne was named to the exclusive “10 Best” Attorneys for Arizona for client satisfaction in the practice area of family law. To achieve this recognition, Ogborne had to be:
- Formally nominated by the board, clients and/or a fellow attorney
- Have attained the highest degrees or professional achievement in her field of law; and
- Have an impeccable client satisfaction rating.
Ogborne Law, PLC, is a leader in the area of collaborative divorce, one of the newest methods of alternative dispute resolution in family law. Collaborative divorce occurs when the attorneys for both parties agree to assist the clients to resolve conflicts by employing cooperative techniques rather than adversarial strategies and litigation. All of the parties involved commit themselves to achieving a negotiated outcome and it is agreed that no litigation will be commenced during the negotiations. If a settlement cannot be reached, then attorneys will remove themselves from the case and not participate in any ensuing litigation.
Ogborne provides her clients with compassionate and effective legal representation, while utilizing a creative problem solving approach that ensures her client’s rights and interests are protected.
Michelle N. Ogborne received her Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia and her law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Prior to opening her family law practice, she worked for a national products liability defense litigation law firm and a local insurance defense law firm.
Born and raised in a small town in rural southern Indiana, Ogborne became a leader in her community at a young age. Her desire to help people change their circumstances and achieve their goals ultimately led her to pursue a career focused on empowering individuals to regain control after a close friend committed suicide because he felt powerless to change his situation.
Before Ogborne attended law school, this desire to empower people to change their situation led her to work in a Phoenix-area domestic violence shelter, where she ascended to become the shelter’s director, as well as to become a strong advocate for a variety of community programs promoting awareness for domestic violence.
Prior to opening her own practice, she worked for a national products liability defense litigation law firm and a local insurance defense law firm.
